IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THE SEPTEMBER 26 INTAKE (Message from the University 2 Feb 26)

    1. New interviews

The following applicants for September 2026 are required to have an interview with one of our international team (Bachelors and Masters unless stated):

    • Afghanistan

    • Bangladesh

    • India (all applicants from Punjab and Haryana regions, and any Masters applicants who are not supported by an NTU agent)

    • Myanmar

    • Nepal

    • Nigeria

    • Pakistan

    • Sri Lanka

Applicants will see this new condition of their offer on the NTU Applicant or UCAS portal. They must pass the interview before we can make their offer unconditional and issue their CAS. They will receive an email and a link to book their interview.

As soon as an applicant has made NTU their confirmed choice, they need to book their interview without delay as interview places are limited. They can currently book an interview up to 2 months in advance, but as we get closer to deadlines we anticipate there will be fewer slots and less time to book.

We would therefore really value your support in ensuring your applicants who are serious about studying at NTU act now and prepare carefully for their interview.

We’ll notify you of the conditions deadlines in the Global Friends News and on the website. You’ll find more details of the interview on the Pre-CAS interview webpage.

    2. Advance payment requirements

We are increasing the advance payment for some applicants to make sure they are carefully planning for the financial commitment of studying in the UK and can demonstrate the finances they need to secure a UK visa.

The new advance payment requirements are:

    • £9,000 – applicants from Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

    • Full first year fee – applicants from Afghanistan and the Punjab and Haryana regions of India.

    • £6,000 – applicants from all other countries (and the remaining regions of India).

PRIORITY LISTS - SOUTH ASIA (NOT PAKISTAN)

Following my meeting this morning with Shruti and Mirza from the NTU South Asia team we have agreed to several measures that will speed up decision making and importantly improve conversion from C2C to the University.

    PRIORITY LIST

Every Wednesday I will send a priority list to Shruti and her team of C2C students who have applied and are waiting for a decision.

I will require you to email me (not text) the following information if you want your student to be added to the priority list:

    Student First Name

    Student Family Name

    Student Mobile number

    NTU application ID number

    Course Applied for

    Date of application submission

Any comments you want NTU to be aware of

If you want to have your student included in the list you need to email me by TUESDAY each week. I will copy any counsellor into the priority list I send so you are aware it is in progress.

It is so important that you only submit applications which have all the documents and in particular the SOP detailing why they want to study this course, why NTU, how it will assist their career.  There should be no gaps in CVs.  Do NOT submit incomplete applications, just wait until the student has given you everything required before submission as incomplete applications will not be processed.

Phone calls to students on priority list

Note that the NTU team will call students on the priority list.  This is to help convert them to NTU by answering any questions that they might have on their application, the university or the city.  Please let your students know to expect this call so they can be ready with any questions.

    WHATSAPP GROUP NTU & C2C

I have set up two WhatsApp Groups with relevant NTU staff, one for South Asia and the other for Sub saharan Africa.  If you are not in one of these groups please contact me so that I can add you.

    ANNABEL MITCHELL (NTU AFRICA TEAM)

Annabel Mitchel is on maternity leave from 6 June 25.  Please do not email her but contact africa@ntu.ac.uk or oluwafunmilayo.adesanya@ntu.ac.uk

  • Commission(%): 15% - 20%
  • Commission(Additional Information):

Message from NTU to small agents:

We believe that by working together we can achieve the ambitions of the University, our students, and your organisation.

With this in mind, I am pleased to confirm that for the next academic year 2024/2025 we will be changing our commission structure.

Our new commission structure for 2024/2025 entry:

1-19 recruited Students (annually) 15% of the first year Tuition Fee

20 - 49 recruited Students (annually) 17.5% of the first year Tuition Fee

50+ recruited Students (annually) 20% of the first year Tuition Fee

15% of the PEAP Fee for the duration of the Course

We have increased our commission rate for anyone who recruits in the range of 1 - 30 students with the aim of supporting our smaller to medium partners and to continue to help promote diversity in our NTU student community.

The commission structure is based on the total number of students you recruit across both the September and January intake. Therefore, if you recruit 19 students in September and 3 for January, we will top up the previous 19 payments to match the higher percentage rate. So, you would receive 17.5% of the first-year tuition fee for each student recruited. Please note that any partial payments also count towards these numbers.

Another point to remember is that if your students are awarded a scholarship this will not impact your commission, we will always pay commission on the full tuition fee amount.

£800 may be paid for direct applicants or students who change agents. An Agent Nomination Form must be completed and submitted by the student.

VAT may be added to commission invoices
