    PAYMENTS TO THE UNIVERSITY

Message from the university 20 March 23

    Dear partner,

We have added a direct link to our online payment system, Flywire, to enable our applicants to pay their deposit on a safe and secure platform.

Applicants will be able to pay quicker and easier, with the ability to use different methods of payment with receipts being immediately available once Flywire has received the funds. Funds will arrive at ARU faster than other methods, and the application can be processed to the next admissions stage up to two weeks earlier. Should a refund be required, the use of Flywire will enable the funds to be returned in days, significantly faster than our current process.

With a faster refund process, status update requests will also be reduced, as applicants will be able to self-serve and track where their payment or refund is.

In the application process, this change will remove several manual processes to record a deposit and initiate the visa application process where required.
Flywire has education-specific insight and technology that enables universities to optimise the payment experience for their students while eliminating operational challenges from payment reconciliation to refunds.

    Flywire currently serves over:

    • 2,000 institutions worldwide

    • 2,000,000 students

    • 150 currencies

    • 240 countries

    • Processing billions of dollars each year

    Benefits including:

    • Payers can pay from their home country in their home currency for most countries. Flywire is secure, safe, and fully trusted by ARU.

    • Payers can use payment methods like bank transfer, debit or credit card, open banking and e-wallet (Alipay, PayPal etc), all available online from home.

    • Payers can track their payments anytime via the web, Flywire mobile app, or by contacting Flywire directly. Flywire multilingual customer support is available around the clock by phone, live chat, email, and more.

Please note, direct bank transfer will no longer be an accepted method of payment to ARU and all international students will be directed to pay through Flywire via our online student portal, at both application stage and registration.

If you would like to join Flywire for a training session to explore this service in more depth and how it will benefit our students, please get in touch with our Relationship Manager, Janine Exall: Janine.Exall@Flywire.com

As we are fast approaching the start of the new academic year in September, we wanted to inform you that the last date to receive deposits has been set at 6th August. We have set this date in order for us to have time to carry out all of the necessary pre-CAS checks prior to our CAS issuing deadline of 20th August to give applicants the best chance of being able to process their visa applications and arrive in the UK on time. With all of the additional challenges with booking flights and quarantine on arrival, it is more important than ever that visa applications are lodged as soon as possible after CAS is received. As we move into these final few weeks of recruitment for our September intake we ask for your assistance in focusing on conversion of existing applications and securing deposits by the 6th August deadline. Please do inform us of any pending applications who no longer wish to start in September, or who will not be able to pay their deposit by the deadline, so that they can be considered for future intakes instead. Important please note: Any deposits received after 6th August will be too late for September starts and offer holders will be asked if they want to start in January if the course is available or will have to be refunded. Pre- Departure Information: We will hold a virtual pre-departure event on 19th August for all offer holders who have accepted their offers and paid a deposit. See our September 21 FAQs regarding quarantine and accommodation. Please contact our India team on india@aru.ac.uk if you have any questions.

You will appreciate that our teams and, we have no doubt yours too, have been overwhelmed by the demand that we are seeing not just from India but all across the world. We want to be able to support every student that wishes to study at ARU. To do this, we have introduced specific deadlines for the January 2022 intake. We hope this will help both students and your teams by giving them a clear timeline to work with, as well as ensuring that our teams can deliver the best possible service to you. These deadlines are also necessary because unlike the last few intakes, students will not be able to enrol online and therefore will need to obtain a visa and arrive in the UK before they are able to enrol. Application deadline - 31 October 2021 Deposit payment deadline - 26 November 2021 CAS issuing deadline - 10 December 2021 Orientation week for Jan 2022 starts – week commencing Monday 10 January 2022 Teaching for Jan 2022 starts – Monday 17 January 2022 Our colleagues in International Admissions are working hard to make decisions on applications. Given the high volume we have received, this will take some time. However, you and your teams can help us, help you and your students. Our recruitment team will be in touch very soon, with a list of applications that you have submitted and are awaiting a decision. If you can highlight in this list, those applicants that you are confident can meet the above payment, CAS and enrolment deadlines, we will attempt to prioritise these applicants for a decision. I hope this will help you and your students. It will surely help us! Please don’t hesitate to let us know or email india@aru.ac.uk if we can be of any further assistance. Meanwhile, if you have not already raised your commission invoice for September 2021, please do! All the very best for January 2022 and we wish you and your families a happy Dusshera and Diwali! Best regards Austin Brown

We wanted to remind you of the application deadline which is imminent, 31 October. And along with that our deposit and CAS issuing deadlines. Please see below, again as stated previously, we hope this will help both students and your teams by giving them a clear timeline to work with, as well as ensuring that our teams can deliver the best possible service to you. These deadlines are also necessary because unlike the last few intakes, students will not be able to enrol online and therefore will need to obtain a visa and arrive in the UK before they are able to enrol. Application deadline - 31 October 2021 Deposit payment deadline - 26 November 2021 CAS issuing deadline - 10 December 2021 Orientation week for Jan 2022 starts – week commencing Monday 10 January 2022 Teaching for Jan 2022 starts – Monday 17 January 2022 Applications submitted after 31 October for our January 2022 intake will not be processed.
