History
The University of Cumbria was formed in 2007 by the merger of St Martin’s College, Cumbria Institute of the Arts and University of Central Lancashire’s Cumbria sites, operating from campuses spread across Cumbria and North Lancashire. We may be a relatively new university, but we are steeped in history dating right the way back to 1822.

This intensive masters degree is designed to integrate your own work-based learning and teach you the academic rigor, skills and ethics to become a leader in business management, who can think logically and independently. Entry Requirements: A degree with a good percentage and ideally 2 years work experience. However the university will consider applicants who have work experience gained during their degree eg within a family business.
MBA Tourism Management January and September 24 intake.
This specialist MBA programme designed for Tourism professionals or those seeking a career in Tourism is the only MBA to be included on the Tourism Management Institute (TMI) list of recognised courses.
The course is taught in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK and amongst the top in the world.
As well as core modules students can study optional modules such as Managing Heritage Attractions, Strategic Hotel Management, Transformational Tourism, Festival Management and Events and Rural Regeneration.
