History
The University of Chester can trace its history back to 1839 when it was founded as a College to train and educate teachers by Prime Minister William Gladstone and the Earl of Derby.
University status was granted in 2007 allowing the University to grant its own degrees in Health & Social Care, Humanities, bjusiness and Management, Arts and Media, Social Sciences, Science & Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry and Clinical Sciences, Education and Children's services. Over 420 courses are now offered and are being taught to students by 1,700 staff.
Extensive investment is continually being made to improve and expand facilities to enhance the student experience.
Automatic and Merit Scholarships offered
All international students who receive an offer will be given an automatic scholarship of £1000 for UG students and £1500 for PG students.
Students with good grades will also be considered for a further £1000 scholarship. Please contact one of our Counsellors to find out if your grades will qualify for this scholarship
