History

The University's roots go back to 1843 with the establishment of the Nottingham Government School of Design, which still exists within the university today. Under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 all Polytechnics and some higher education colleges became eligible for full university status; at this point, the institution officially became 'Nottingham Trent University'. The university has five campuses: City, Clifton, Confetti, Brackenhurst and Mansfield & Ashfield.

The university is best known for its Art and Design, Fashion and creative arts programmes, but it also hosts one of the UK's largest law schools.NTU is rated gold for outstanding teaching and learning in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

Tuition Fees & Scholarships

£15,850 – £21,500

A range of scholarships are available which include:
  • NTU Excellence Scholarships are worth 50% or 25% off your tuition fees. These are awarded to undergraduate and postgraduate students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community.
  • NTU International Scholarships are worth up to £3,000 and are awarded competitively to students who show a strong commitment to their studies.
  • NTU Regional and subject scholarships range from £4,000 to 50% of your tuition fee. We also offer GREAT scholarships in partnership with the British Council.
